Thunderstorms End The Weekend

The heat wave is over but several areas of thunderstorms formed quickly on Sunday afternoon with heavy rain and wind.No widespread watches or warnings were issued although a Severe Thunderstorm Warning was issued for Burlington County for a cell with 60 mph winds, lightning and heavy rain.

A Coastal Flood Advisorywas posted for Monmouth & Ocean counties for minor coastal flooding at high tide which will occur between 7p.m. and 8 p. m.

The cold front that slowly pushed through the area that is now stationary to the south is to blame for the storms. There will likely be more storms tomorrow.

The Big Joe Henry Talent Show was postponed until Monday night due to the threat of thunderstorms.
