The Last 400
Nearly all New Jersey residents who lost electricity after an unusual October snowstorm blasted the Northeast have their power restored. Fewer than 400 Jersey Central Power & Light customers remain without power Sunday night, eight days after the storm hit.
But officials say all of them should have their power restored by Sunday night at the latest.
Gov. Chris Christie says nearly 1,000 crews were working to restore power to everyone by the end of the day.
Two other utilities -- PSE&G and Orange and Rockland -- said Sunday that all their outages had been resolved.
In recent days, all three utilities have mostly been repairing a large number of single lines from poles to homes and businesses.
At the storm's peak, about 700,000 customers were without electricity in New Jersey.
