June 23rd, 1990- Elton John earned himself his first number one single on the UK charts with, "Sacrifice/ Healing Hands."
June 24th 1999- Legend Eric Clapton puts 100 of his famed guitars up for auction at Christie's in order to fund his stay at a rehab clinic.
June 25th, 1977- Marvin Gaye had his third number one single on the US charts with, "Got to Give it Up."
June 26th 1961- Gary U.S. Bonds began a two-week run at number one on the US charts with his single, "Quarter to Three."
