While I know that people in other parts of the world eat different foods than we do, sometimes it helps to be reminded of just how different those foods can be.

In a posting on ThinkGeek.com, the Edible Bugs Gift Pack is highlighted. What is included in this tasty gift?

"Bacon and Cheese Grasshoppers, BBQ Bamboo Worms, Nori Seaweed Armor Tail Scorpions, Salted Queen Weaver Ants, Sour Cream and Onion Dung Beetles, Wasabi House Crickets, and Giant Waterbug Chili Paste."

That has to be the most disgusting sounding food selection I've ever heard, although I don't consider any of those items to be edible. I know that the UN recommended eating bugs to help solve world hunger, but I think I'm going to leave that to people in other countries. By the way, that variety gift pack costs $39.99.
