NEWARK — Police are looking for a man they say walked into a city store and walked out with money, clothes and cell phones.

In a video released by Newark police, the alleged robber appears casual and at ease, as he collects goods from the store.  He look around and seems to take his time through the encounter.

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said the robbery happened Monday afternoon at the Broadway Gifts & Miscellaneous. The robber, a black male weighing around 180 pounds and about 6 feet tall, was wearing a green hooded jacket with brown shoulders and spotted blue jeans, police said.

Ambrose said the man robbed the clerk at gunpoint before taking items from the store.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS, or 1-877-NWK-GUNS.
