1965 The Rolling Stones are found guilty of public urination after they relieved themselves on a wall at a gas station in East Ham, England, in March. Mick Jagger, Bill Wyman, and Brian Jones were all fined and it was also revealed they added insult to injury by "making a well-known gesture" as they drove off.  I'm guessing it wasn't the peace sign.

1971 - John Lennon and Yoko Ono capture some more footage on the second day of filming for the 'Imagine' promo.  Today they shot the morning walk on the grounds though the mist and John Lennon singing ‘Imagine’ at his white piano.

1989 - Prince's 'Batman' album started it's six-week run at No. 1 on the album chart. It was the eleventh studio album by Prince and the soundtrack for the 1989 film 'Batman'. Prince's involvement in the soundtrack leveraged the media company's contract-bound talent as well as facilitated the artist's need for a revival.

1999 - Simple Minds' official fan club closes due to dwindling memberships.  I guess their constant reminder 'Don't You Forget About Me' didn't work.
