Fourteen-year-old Kira Strider and 16-year-old Amber Fernandez, both of Pleasantville, died in Monday's crash in that Atlantic County town along with 18-year-old Tevin Campbell of Absecon.

Authorities say the car driven by 18-year-old Melissa Rodriguez of Pleasantville was northbound on Franklin Boulevard when she swerved for unknown reasons and struck the bus driven by 69-year-old Carmen Mazzagatti. The car then flipped around but remained upright.

Rodriguez and five passengers were in the car, including two people who remained hospitalized Tuesday. About 10 people were on the bus.

NJ Transit officials say Mazzagatti and two passengers suffered injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
