The robbery occurred Thursday at the Artisan's Alcove store in Cape May.

The store's surveillance video, posted on the Press of Atlantic City's website, shows a couple browsing at one of the counters while manager Pat Raspa helps three other people nearby. The male member of the couple then appears to reach behind the jewelry case and remove some items.

Raspa tells the newspaper the thieves stole 15 diamond engagement rings and 15 men's rings.

The Cape May County prosecutor's and local police are investigating. The prosecutor's office tells the newspaper the thefts could be connected to others perpetrated by a multistate ring.
