A car thief stole an SUV in Magnolia on Saturday night with two children inside.

Magnolia Police told 6 ABC a woman left a 4-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl in the backseat as she made a stop at a liquor store on the White Horse Pike around 11 p.m., and left the SUV idling. The thief got in and drove away — only to hit another SUV and overturn on Hampshire Street, police reportedly said.

The suspect, children and driver of the other SUV were all hospitalized and expected to be released on Sunday.

Magnoloia Police are working with Audubon Police on the case and have not yet said what charges will be brought.
