LAKEWOOD — Police have identified the four people shot Saturday at an Ocean County Park.

Curtis Alexander, 28 of Englishtown and Lakewood residents Jerry Lee Dorsey, 53, Jermeler Sample, 24 and Dajuan Morris, 24 were shot at the Frank Bartolf Sports Complex on Brook Road, a recreational facility with a playground, baseball, soccer, football fields, and a sheltered picnic area.

Dorsey, Sample and Morris all took themselves to the Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus after the incident. Alexander was found in the park by police and taken by ambulance.

Lakewood Police spokesman Lt. Gregory Staffordsmith said investigators are still actively searching for witnesses or anyone who may have information regarding the events that led to the shooting just before 10 p.m.

Staffordsmith a permit had been issued by the Parks & Recreation Department to use the park on Saturday night. He did not know who took out the permit.

Jahquan Fenn, 25, of Lakewood was arrested in connection with the shootings after police found a firearm he was trying to conceal under his leg while he was a passenger in a vehicle that was trying to leave the park, Staffordsmith said.

Donaysha Peace,21 of Waretown and Sanaya Smuoone, 20, of Lakewood were both charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Another firearm was located on the ground between two parked cars, Staffordsmith said.
