AMC Theaters was said to be considering allowing texting on a limited basis. The Independent is reporting that the theater chain will reserve on aisle, probably the back row, for texters.

I guess they feel as if they can't totally stamp out texting by their patrons, so they might as well try to control it. To me, that's just giving in to what is essentially boorish behavior. If we can make it two hours without making or receiving phone calls, we can make it without texting. Also, if the section is anywhere other than the last row, the texters's glowing screens will be a distraction. What do you think, should theaters just give in to texters or not?
