X-Files stars Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny reunited Saturday to discuss their long-running Fox series at Manhattan’s Paley Center for Media.

While they would not address the recent rumor that they are a couple, they did say however that they would be interested in another movie about the show.

Anderson also revealed she wanted to guest-star on Duchovny’s “Californication,” but Duchovny, who plays a hedonistic novelist in the Showtime series, was reluctant because he wanted to protect the memory of their “X-Files” characters, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

Anderson responded, “Come on, I could have been the Scully-impersonating stripper that you have sex with!” The pair said they would both be interested in another movie based on the sci-fi show, which ran for nine seasons.
