It’s the fall season and soon the networks and cable channels will be rolling out their new lineups. Along with that, we’ll also be seeing the new wave of daytime talk shows.

First we have the granddaddy, or should I say “grandmommy” of daytime talk, The View” getting yet another makeover with Jenny McCarthy and her glasses. It’s  the 17th season for the ABC staple and most of those staples including Joy Behar and Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Barbara Walters will be entering her final season on the air. The View" could use a pick-me-up. The show has averaged 2.93 million viewers this year, the Nielsen company said, down from 3.2 million during the same period in 2012 and 3.51 million the year before that.

To provide that boost they may try something new and revolutionary. (Cue the "Two and a Half Men" theme here) No we’re not talking Charlie Sheen , we’re talking men, as in frequent male guest hosts. The idea is an expansion of the "Guy Day Friday" days with men on the panel that they've had recently. Expect to see the likes of Mario Cantone, Brad Garrett and Jason Biggs, just to name a few, this season.

Will it work? You be the judge. In the end you always are. What’s your favorite Daytime talk show?
