The Little River Band was an Australian pop/rock band that was a hit machine in the 70s and 80s, charting 6 top ten hits in a three year span. Some of their better known songs are 'Reminiscing' and 'Lonesome Loser,' but their lead singer, Glenn Shorrock, left in 1982 after a string of hits.

His solo career did no go so well, but the Little River Band kept chugging along. Their first single with John Farnham as lead singer was the song I requested of Big Joe. 'The Other Guy' was released in late 1982 and peaked in 1983 at #11. Big Joe must have been really busy that night, because he didn’t play it.
