High temperatures Thursday reached the upper 70s and low 80s, nowhere's close to the 90 and low 90s that some forecasters were predicting yesterday, as expected.

And today's temperatures may not be out of the 60s in Northwest New Jersey, while it's in the 70s pretty much elsewhere with occasional rain.  Some of the rain has been and will be heavy, at times.

Tonight, there will be some rain again.  The best chance of the heaviest rain will be in the southern part of the state.  Temperatures overnight will be in the mid 60s to a few low 70s.

Now, early rain tomorrow should gradually taper off, but it may take quite a while, especially in southern and coastal counties.  It may be showering or light raining for much of the day.  I'm mentioning that it should gradually taper off from North to South throughout the day with variable clouds.  Late day highs 77 to 82.

It'll be much a nicer Sunday with a mix of sun and clouds.  Highs will be in the middle 80s, but still cooler near the ocean on Sunday afternoon.
