The green-bag bank robber: Central Jersey’s lady bandit on the run

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP — Police are searching for a woman they say robbed three banks with a bright green handbag and a demand note.

Police in Hamilton say the middle-aged woman was dressed in black and wore a scarf on her head. They say she didn't appear to have a weapon when she demanded money from tellers at a bank Friday night and another Saturday morning.

Police in Willingboro say the same thing happened at a bank there Friday morning.

The woman is described as being somewhere between 40 and 60 years old.

She got away with an unknown amount of money.
