This morning I drove to Eatontown to pick up my CPAP machine and to learn how to use it. I was hoping to get one of the small masks that just covers your nose, but the technician asked me if I often wake up with a dry mouth and do I keep a glass of water on the nightstand. I answered yes to both, so he told me I would need one of the masks that covers the nose and the mouth.

He fitted to my face and turned the machine on. The force of air was pretty strong, and I am beginning to wonder if I’ll be able to sleep with it on. If I can and it works, I’ll get a much better night’s sleep (so I am told), but while it doesn’t make a lot of noise, it is also far from comfortable.

Still, I am anxious to try it out and see if I feel better (not that I feel all that bad, now). I’ll let you know how it goes.
