The best pizza in New Jersey: An update and a recap

My statewide quest to find the best pizza in all of New Jersey will be resuming Thursday, Sep. 29. We have been releasing videos, updates and polls regarding the best pizza in New Jersey every Thursday for the last couple of months, but this week was just a tad different.

Between the crazy news week regarding the explosions in Seaside, Elizabeth, and Manhattan, and Deminski & Doyle's remote broadcast from Somerset, visiting our fourth and final pizza region was not in the cards this week. However, I'm working overtime to make sure we get back on schedule.

This weekend I'm visiting the North Jersey finalists, though I just realized I should call them pie-nalists, Pie Guys in Wayne and Enzo's in Hackettstown. We will have the video and poll ready to go by Sep. 29. And from there, we will find out who you think makes the best pizza in all of North Jersey.

Who's excited? Are you excited? Because I'm excited! I've been exposed to some outstanding pizza over the last few weeks, and none of your nominations have let me down. Thank you all for having such good taste. We will be back next week with the North Jersey pizza showdown. After voting concludes for that, we will have reached our final four!
