WINSLOW — South Jersey families will spend Thanksgiving Day mourning the loss of two young people, and at the hospital bedside of two more, after a holiday morning crash.

Joel Hutton, 23, of the Berlin section of this township, and Janiyah Conquest, 19, of the Sicklerville section, were pronounced dead at the scene of the 7:24 a.m. crash on Williamstown Road.

Police said Hutton was behind the wheel of a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu heading west when he crossed the yellow line into oncoming traffic.

Hutton’s Malibu slammed head on into a 2014 Honda Civic being driven by Jillian Farrell, 19, of the Williamstown section of Monroe.

After the collision, the Malibu continued further down the road before it overturned.

Conquest was ejected from the Malibu and landed in a field off the road, police said.

Conquest and Hutton both died at the scene. A third passenger in their car and Farrell were hospitalized at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, police said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
