Gloucester County authorities have said Kellenyi was a backseat passenger in a car that crashed into a pickup truck. Two other people in the car survived the accident.

Investigators have said it was "inconclusive" whether or not illegal cell phone use played a role in the accident. But the crash spurred Kellenyi family to start a nonprofit group to raise awareness about the dangers of texting and driving.
