Talk about leading by example, a father who was criticized for making his 4th grade son stand out in the street wearing a sign saying “I am A Bully” after he was caught bullying a student in school, returned to the corner himself wearing a sign that said “I am not sorry.”

Was a Father wrong for making his son hold this sign?

Jose Legares, a Texas dad, says he tried everything to get his son to understand that bullying is wrong. Finally he made his 4th grade son to stand on a corner with a sign reading, "I am a bully. Honk if you hate bullies," The next day, after being chastised, he was back with a new sign of his own which read, "I am not sorry!!! Honk 2 stop bullying!."

Lagares, who appeared on the street solo Thursday, tells WWLP that his son has a problem with bullying at school and that the public shaming appears to be working despite what some critics say.

"I've gotten that I'm a lazy parent, that's one of the ones that really sticks out to me, that there are other options that I could have done, not knowing my story with my son," he said. "I'm not going to allow my child to be someone else's pain. We don't need another Columbine."
