Tennessee Coach Fired for Anti-Obama Song [POLL, VIDEO]

This should scare the wits out of you. Is this a harbinger of things to come? Will we be punished for generally innocent criticism of public officials? Free speech verboten when directed at political icons?

A 26-year-old assistant football coach in Tennessee gets fired for writing and singing a song mildly critical of President Barack Obama. You can hear the song here.

The satire  is  clearly no more than a pimple on the backside of the  American political satire tradition. So, is this the harbinger of isolating our elected from any criticism, or just when it is directed at a “Sacred” political personage?

What do you think of the coach being fired? Take the poll and let us know.
