A 17-year-old Camden girl was charged in connection with two shootings including first dergree murder for the death of 13-year-old Nathaniel Plummer, Jr.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo said the teen, who is not being identified because of her age, shot Plummer in the area of Beacon and Line Streets and left him on the sidewalk. He died an hour later later at Cooper University Hospital. It was the first homicide of 2016 in Camden according to NJ Advanced Media.

Ballistic evidence in that case linked the girl to the shooting of a 19-year-old man on Oct. 30 according to Colalillo. The teen was charged with attempted murder in the October shooting and had already surrendered to police. She had been at a juvenile detention facility.
