In the seven weeks since shutdowns were ordered due to the public health emergency, more than 1 million New Jerseyans have filed for unemployment benefits.
More than 140,000 new unemployment claims were filed by New Jerseyans last week, bringing the four-week total after coronavirus shutdowns to over 717,500.
