May 14th, 1998 - It's a sad day as news starts coming out that singer and actor Frank Sinatra has died at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. He suffered a heart attack and passed away at the age 82.

May 7th, 1974 - Led Zeppelin has a launch party for their new label 'Swan Song'. The party is held at the Four Seasons in New York City. Besides being a new vehicle to promote their own music, the newly formed label would go on to sign other acts such as Bad Company.

April 30th, 1976 – Keith Moon, drummer of The Who pays nine cab drivers to block-off a street in NYC so he could throw the contents of his hotel room out of the window.

April 16th 1972 – ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) make their debut at The Fox and Greyhound in London. Former Move members Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne formed the new band to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. Roy would leave the band following their debut record...

April 2nd, 1964 – The Beach Boys recorded their next single ‘I Get Around’, which became their first US No.1 in the summer of this year.

March 26th, 1975 - The film 'Tommy' premieres in London theaters today. The movie is based on The Who's 1969 rock opera album by the same name. Later in the year the film would go on to win the award for 'Rock Movie of the Year'

March 19th, 1974 – Jefferson Airplane re-named the group and became Jefferson Starship. The new line-up included Paul Kantner, Grace Slick, drummer Johnny Barbata, David Freiberg, Peter Kaukonen, Cragi Chaquico and Papa John Creach.

March 12th, 1981- Bow Wow Wow has no choice but to cancel the first several dates of their tour when the Greater London Council insisted that the band's young 15 year old singer, Annabella Lwin, would be charged with truancy.

February 27th, 2004 - Michael Jackson is enjoying a vacation with his children in Aspen, Colorado when he frightens workers at a local supermarket dressed in all black, his face hidden behind a surgical mask.

February 13th, 1976 – Phil Collins takes the role of lead vocalist in Genesis since the departure of Peter Gabriel. A Trick of the Tail is released today it’s their first album with this new arrangement.
