April 12th, 1967 - Mick Jagger receives a punch to the face by an airport official at Le Bourget Airport in France. Jagger had lost his temper when The Rolling Stones were all searched for drugs. The ordeal resulted in The Stones missing their flight.

March 29th, 1979 - At a Dire Straits show in L.A., Bob Dylan asked Mark Knopfler and drummer Pick Withers to play on the sessions for his next album, Slow Train Coming. Dylan had first heard Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler when his assistant played him the single ‘Sultans of Swing’.

March 15th, 1967 -  George Harrison records his first session for his new song ‘Within You Without You’ at Abbey Road. George played the swarmandal and tamboura on this track, and was the only one from the band to perform on this song, which at the time of recording was just called ‘Untitled’.

February 15th, 1991 - Rod Stewart learns of a $25 million palimony suit which has been filed by ex-girlfriend Kelly Emberg in L.A. They had lived together for 5 years in the late 80′s. February 8th, 1964 - It's The Beatles first full day in New York. The Fab Four (minus George who had a sore throat), went for a walk/photo-shoot around Central Park. Over 400 female fans followed them and extra police were needed to control the every growing crowd. Later in the day The Ronettes interviewed The Beatles on the radio.

January 25th, 1963 - The Rolling Stones play at the Ricky Tick Club at a Hotel in the town of Windsor, Berkshirehire, UK. It is the first time The Rolling Stones, including Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman played at this venue.

January 18th, 1964 - The Beatles have their first US hit with ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ as it enters the charts on this day. It entered at No.45 just ten days after its release, making it the fastest-selling single in the history of Capitol Records...
