August 11th 1969 - Diana Ross singer of The Supremes, invites over 300 of her closest friends to come see a new Motown act at a Beverly Hills club in California. The new group which she is so excited about is none other then The Jackson 5.

May 6th 1964 - The Beach Boys record "All Summer Long." Beginning in February 1964, Brian Wilson began a period of rigorous songwriting. Just weeks later he emerged with songs including "I Get Around", "All Summer Long", "Wendy" and "Girls on the Beach".
