It was 32 years ago today. The world was brought to its knees when we lost John Lennon.

On December 8th, 1980 about 10:30 pm, a cloud was put over my holiday season that would last forever. That was the night that a deranged “fan” murdered John Lennon in cold blood while his wife Yoko Ono watched in horror.

November 23rd, 1974 -  Billy Swan becomes a one hit wonder with the start of his two week run at No. 1 with 'I Can Help'. The song was also a hit in Australia and Europe, and  was shockingly successful in Norway, where it charted for 37 weeks

October 12th 1965 - Working on Rubber Soul at Abbey Road Studios, The Beatles record ‘Run For Your Life’ in its entirety, in five takes, and another new Lennon song at the time called 'This Bird Has Flown’. October 7th 1967 - Cass Elliot from The Mamas And The Papas spends the night in jail after being accused of stealing from a hotel in London. An appearance on TV and concert had to be cancelled as a result.

October 6th 1969 - George Harrison's hits a milestone in his career when his song 'Something' was released as the "A" side of a Beatles' 45, a first for Harrison. Along with Lennon and McCartney's Come Together

October 5th 1967 - The Doors play the final show of a five night run at Steve Paul's "The Scene" in New York City. Steve Paul, owner of The Scene, and notable as the one-time manager of Johnny Winter, refused to pay protection money to the Mafia.

September 29th 1967 - The Beatles are mixing John Lennon's 'I Am The Walrus' at Abbey Road Studios. Lennon had combined three unfinished songs together to form 'I Am The Walrus', and when he learned that a teacher

September 23rd 1968 - The Beatles recorded a new John Lennon song ‘Happiness Is A Warm Gun In Your Hand’ while working on their next album. The title of the song comes from the cover of a gun magazine that their producer, George Martin, had showed to John.
