April 12th, 1967 - Mick Jagger receives a punch to the face by an airport official at Le Bourget Airport in France. Jagger had lost his temper when The Rolling Stones were all searched for drugs.

It was 46 years ago Friday the Beatles posed for the Sgt Pepper Album cover which is arguably the greatest album cover in rock n roll.

March 30th, 1991 - Gloria Estefan hits No.1 on the singles chart with 'Coming Out Of The Dark'. It is the first single released after Estefan's tragic accident where an 18-wheeler rammed her tour bus, nearly causing death.

March 17th, 1978 - U2 wins a talent contest in Dublin. They won $850.00 and a chance to audition for CBS Ireland. The Limerick Civic Week Pop Competition was sponsored by The Evening Express and Guinness Harp Lager.

March 8th, 1965 - David Bowie makes his television debut. It's on a UK program called "Gadzooks! It's All Happening" and was with The Manish Boys. They performed their single 'I Pity The Fool.'

February 2nd, 1976 - Genesis releases 'A Trick Of The Tail', their 7th studio album and the first featuring drummer and lead vocalist Phil Collins.
