Derek Jeter had four hits to stretch his hitting streak to 13 games, Alex Rodriguez belted career home run No. 632 and the New York Yankees beat the Texas Rangers 7-4 on Monday night.
David Freese homered to lead off the bottom of the 11th inning, and the St. Louis Cardinals forced the World Series to a Game 7 by rallying from two-run deficits against Texas in the 9th and 10th on Thursday night to beat the Rangers 10-9.
A little bloop, a daring steal and a couple of fly balls May not sound like much. It was enough, though, for the Texas Rangers to inch their way back into this World Series.
