New Jersey current has six medical marijuana ATCs, with six more now seeking permits. The state Health Department says 90 will be needed in three years.
After missing Monday's self-imposed deadline for voting on marijuana legislation, Gov. Phil Murphy and lawmakers say talks will continue to tweak the bill.
"The cannabis industry is a complicated industry. There's so many different facets to it," said Scott Rudder, president of the New Jersey CannaBusiness Association.
The legislation would establish civil fines for possession of 10 grams or less of marijuana of $150 for a first offense, increasing to $200 and then $500.
