Annoying robocalls – Here are 5 things you should know
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Federal Communications Commission has been asked to look into the issue of robocalls, the automated phone messages favored by political campaigns, charities and scammers. At issue is whether phone companies can do more to protect consumers from fraudulent calls.
$50,000 in prizes offered for ‘robocall’ solution
The Federal Trade Commission gets bombarded with consumer complaints about those annoying "robocalls" that send pre-recorded messages to phones. In an effort to combat the problem, they're offering $50,000 in prize money to anyone who finds a solution.
