Putting a damper on some plans for an early Thanksgiving getaway, significant rainfall and strong winds will affect New Jersey later Tuesday into Wednesday. The storm brings with it the threat of minor coastal flooding, overflowing streams, and ponded roads.
Last month was one for the record books. New Jersey had its wettest June ever, dating back to the first recordings in 1895, according to state climatologist Dave Robinson.
Where are the April showers? A lack of significant rainfall has prompted the state Department of Environmental Protection to encourage residents across New Jersey to take steps to conserve water, both inside and outside the home.
