New Jersey's teachers are being evaluated for the first time and as the program begins, there is obvious trepidation among teachers.

In hopes to raise teacher quality in NJ, an idea was recently brought about by Education Commissioner Christopher Cerf where incoming teachers would need high grades to be allowed to teach in NJ.

How smart to do have to be to teach in New Jersey?  Right now, you can figure you'd need about the equivalent of a C plus or higher. That could change as New Jersey's Education Department is considering requiring prospective teachers to achieve at least a B average in college before they can get state certification.
