Murrysville School Stabbing

No evidence has surfaced yet to show that a boy charged in a stabbing rampage at his high school was targeting any particular student, and efforts to establish a motive are stalled because the suspect isn't talking and many victims remain hospitalized, a police chief said Friday.

The 16-year-old boy charged in a stabbing spree at a high school outside Pittsburgh was not troubled and his family didn't see any sign that he was capable of violence, his attorney said Thursday, deepening the mystery over what prompted the rampage that injured 21 students and a security guard.

A doctor says some victims of a multiple stabbing at a high school near Pittsburgh have suffered injuries classified as life-threatening, though all are expected to survive.
