NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) -- The former treasurer of the Middlesex County Utilities Authority has been sentenced to five years of probation for stealing from the agency.
More than $16.5 million in federal funding is headed to Long Branch and the Middlesex County Utilities Authority, in order to assist with recovery projects as a result of Superstorm Sandy.
New Jersey officials say government entities in the state have been approved for $14.2 million in federal money for three major repairs related to Superstorm Sandy.
