ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- Gamblers who have been ordered to return $1.5 million they won at an Atlantic City casino that unknowingly used unshuffled cards are asking a judge to let them keep the money.
Two Atlantic City casinos have been fined a total of $66,000, with the bulk of the fines levied against Harrah's Resort Atlantic City for letting underage patrons gamble and drink.
The odds were even longer than usual inside one Atlantic City casino Wednesday morning. But that didn't deter more than 1,300 hopefuls from lining up before the sun rose and standing in a queue that wrapped around the inside of the building.
Atlantic City's casino industry may be struggling, but one casino is staging an "emergency" jobs fair this week for positions that start as soon as this weekend.
