A Bloods gang member was sentenced for his role in a violent 2008 New Brunswick  shooting that claimed the life of a 19-year-old man and left another victim with a bullet wound in the back.

Two members of the Latin Kings street gang were arrested Wednesday in Englewood on drug related charges, according to the Bergen County Prosecutors Office.

A Camden man with ties to the Bloods street gang was sentenced to state prison today for his role in a narcotics network that was dealing large amounts of cocaine, heroin and PCP.

There are nearly 35,000 gang members in New Jersey and 45 percent of them are kids. A state street gang expert says the problem is increasing from the cities to the shore.
