FEMA Drills Tests Communication In Case of Nuclear Emergency [AUDIO]

Towns within a ten mile radius of the Oyster Creek Power Plant will be participating in a drill mandated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in order to test their communication and response systems in case of a nuclear disaster.

The National Emergency Alert System test is today, 11/9/11 at 2:00 PM, EST. The length of the test has been shortened to about 30 seconds. You will hear the test on New Jersey 101.5.  The test will be heard on all TV, cable, satellite and radio stations

FEMA, SBA Extend Deadline for Hurricane Aid in NJ

New Jersey residents and businesses battered by Hurricane Irene will now have more time to seek federal aid to help cover their losses. The Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Small Business Administration announced Friday that the deadline for filing claims would be extended from Oct. 31 to Nov. 30.
