New Jersey family planning programs are in line to get more than $4 million in funding. Awarded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Title X Family Planning Program, this round of funding will support the efforts of the New Jersey Family Planning League to provide family planning, reproductive health care and education services to more than 78,000 women, men, and children

The full Senate has approved a bill today sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Loretta Weinberg, Senate Health Committee Chairman Joe Vitale  to restore funding for health services for low and middle income women that had been eliminated by Governor Chris Christie the last two years. It's expected Christie will line-item veto the measure this year too.
