On the heeels of the September 11th and Hurricane Irene anniversaries, an awareness campaign has been launched in New Jersey to help residents prepare themselves in the case of a sudden emergency.
State Lawmakers are once again considering the so called "EMS Redesign Bill" vetoed by the Governor last year. The bill (S-1650/A-2463) is aimed at revising the delivery of emergency services through out the state that some, even in EMS circles believe is sorely needed.
With a national spike in drug deaths, advocates are pushing for bills that would shield people from prosecution if they are in possession of a small amount of drugs but seek medical help for themselves or someone else after an overdose.
