St. Baldrick's is a worldwide event where barbers and beauticians gather to shave people's heads to show solidarity to those who are losing their hair to chemotherapy. Friday I had the pleasure of grabbing lunch at 709 in Pt. Pleasant. They were hosting a benefit for The Ashley Lauren Foundation. 100% of the proceeds from the Mark "The Shark" Burger went to the foundation and the great serving staff at 709 donated their tips to the cause.
Tim, a NJ 101.5 listener and high school junior in Livingston is putting on a concert at the Livingston High School Auditorium on January 7th from 5:30pm to 9pm. Tim has Type 1 Diabetes and the proceeds of the concert will be going to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Surf Taco is doing a fundraiser for 7-year-old Tanner. Tanner is a boy with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which currently has no cure or treatment. The fundraiser is going on tomorrow, Nov. 23rd from 11:00am to 9:30pm at ALL their locations.
