Just when you thought the Brian Williams story was going away, another famous news anchor came out in the press and decided to make their comments known about it.
Brian Williams had been a trusted voice in news for decades, until questions arose last week about his credibility when he admitted he embellished a story he covered in Iraq.
So I arrive at the radio station to hear my on-air cohort Steve Trevelise say to me that “Brian Williams must be the happiest guy in America right now!”

NEW YORK (AP) -- NBC announced Tuesday that it is suspending Middletown, New Jersey native Brian Williams as "Nightly News" anchor and managing editor for six months without pay for misleading the public about his experiences covering the Iraq War.
An Israeli army official who traveled with Brian Williams during the military campaign against Hezbollah in 2006 said the account the NBC anchor later offered about his trip was "generally reasonable."

Last night, NBC News Anchor Brian Williams apologized for falsely claiming he was on a helicopter hit by enemy fire when he was in Iraq. Instead of confessing to the lie, Williams claimed that he had 'misremembered' the story.
