New Jersey has been rocked left and right by nasty weather events in recent weeks, but the coastline escaped nearly unharmed.

Down from 2.7 million, more than 300,000 electric customers remained without power late Wednesday from Hurricane Sandy last week, but the second part of the one-two punch on New Jersey, this week's nor'easter, put a snag in the state's recovery efforts.

As New Jerseyans sift through the aftermath in the wake of Hurricane Sandy and the devastation she left behind, especially along the New Jersey coastline, many are wondering if, when and how the beaches will ever be repaired.

New Jersey's beaches have been spared the worst this year in terms of damage and beach erosion, but that may not be the case in just a few months.
