July 4th marks the 75th anniversary of former New York Yankees first baseman Lou Gehrig's famous farewell speech. Gehrig was no longer able to play baseball after being diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), which later became more commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.
