This morning (9/19) Governor Chris Christie called into Jim Gearhart's show to provide an update to a complaint brought up on the "Ask the Governor" program from a host of complaints over higher tax bills in Monroe Township even though there is a 2 percent property tax cap in place.
While Governor Christie and Senate President Steve Sweeney are trying to enforce the 2 percent property tax cap, there are many NJ towns that are trying to circumvent the cap by instituting so called 'fees' to the taxpayers.
Governor Chris Christie is once again calling on the people of Lawrence and Medford to vote no today, on the proposal to raise property taxes above the state’s 2 percent cap.
