The "all clear" was given around 5 p.m. following an investigation. The package was first discovered at 2:32 p.m. at Hangar 2, which is located on the Lakehurst side of the joint base, according to a press release issued by officials at the military facility.

"First responders are on scene investigating the situation," officials said in the press release.

For security and safety purposes, a cordon of 500 feet was established around the immediate area where the suspicious package was found.
