Survey Says We Feel More Job Secure

How secure do you feel in your job? A new General Social Survey says Americans feel they could get a new job if necessary and fear of being laid off has dropped off last year from it’s peak in 2010.

Job security in my opinion comes from work ethic. If you’re best prepared, you’ll do your best work.  Work ethic is also something that others in the field will see and if by chance you found yourself out of a job, you would probably be picked up somewhere because good work ethic is hard to find.

I believe you don’t really work for the company as much as you work for the profession.

If a good baseball manager gets fired, he’ll probably get rehired somewhere else because the league knows how good he is. How secure do you feel in your job and what is it that gives you confidence or concern?
