FBI divers on Wednesday raised the 34-foot Kandi Won from about 60 feet below the surface of Oyster Bay, off the north shore of Long Island.

They tried to lift the boat Tuesday but ran into difficulty in the murky waters.

The boat sank July 4 with 27 people on board following a fireworks display.

Investigators hope that getting the yacht back on land will assist their investigation into how it capsized.

Police are trying to determine if the boat was overcrowded. They also hope to learn if the vessel had enough life jackets for every passenger.
