New Jersey is getting ready for another stretch of sultry summer heat that will make for a hot weekend.

The heat will increase noticeably on Thursday with temperatures of at least 90 degrees. With an increase in humidity on Friday, the National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Watch beginning Friday afternoon and continuing through Sunday for Mercer, northern Burlington, Camden & Gloucester counties for a heat index of at least 100 degrees with increasing humidity each day.


Plus, a cold front cold trip off iolated thunderstorms on Saturday and Sunday.
